How My Daughter Inspired the Creation of Footballher
The full story began when I had my little girl. Without her, Footballher might never have existed. The issue first became apparent to me on Oxford Street in 2022 during the Women's Euros.
I wondered in and out of every major sports retailer, looking for football clothing specifically designed for girls - in terms of fit, style, and colour - for my daughter. Unfortunately, everything I found was standard 'unisex' or boys' designs, making it impossible to find anything suitable.
That's when I decided to take action. I didn’t want my daughter, or any other women or girls, to feel like they couldn’t participate in football simply because of the lack of available clothing for them.
After sitting on this idea for about a year to see if anything was being done about the issue, it became clear that not much progress was being made. Fast forward to 2024 - I decided to turn this dream into a reality. I have now made it my mission to ensure that no woman or girl will ever again face the problem of not being able to find football clothing that makes them feel confident and included on the pitch.
